Graveyard Shift Med-Aid

Cherry Blossom Cottage is a small residential care facility looking for a med-aid.  The hours vary, but are generally 4 on 4 off.

Duties include, but aren’t limited to:

• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Complete report with day shift med-aid
• Review change of condition and alert charting
• Count narcotics
• Check QUICKMAR for any alerts, MUST BE ABLE TO USE A COMPUTER
• Assist caregivers as needed
• Answer duplicate calls
• Go through inventory to remove expired meds and supplies
• Check refrigerator temperatures and document
• Weekly check glucometer specifications and document
• Sanitize desks, med carts, cupboards and all surfaces
• Restock med carts
• Order and/or reorder any medications that need to be refilled
• Document incidents
• Complete any unfinished physician’s orders, or new orders that come in during your shift
• Prepare paperwork for next day doctor’s appointments
• Complete any lab work documents needed and/or collect specimens
• Follow up on any task left by the previous med-aid
